IDV Once is a zine that explores the idea of what the Identity V characters’ lives would have been like had Oletus Manor not been a part of it.

The Once series, also known as Backdrift, is a series of costumes released to show different possible outcomes for characters if they had not accepted the manor invitation or if events in their life had gone differently.The Once Zine will be dedicated to focusing on those 'what-ifs'.

Q1: Will this be a free to download project or are you making a physical product to purchase?
A1: The final project will be free to download.Q2: Who can participate?
A2: Participants must be 18+. Applicants who have a known history of harassment/abuse/bigotry will not be accepted.Q3: Do I need experience in zines to participate?
A3: Past experience is a bonus, but not necessary to be accepted. Applicants will be considered based on their portfolio and the characters/concepts which they are interested in drawing for the project.Q4: How many artists are you accepting?
A4: We are looking to accept anywhere from 15-25 artists.Q5: Are you planning to accept writers?
A5: Yes. We will be looking to accept anywhere from 3-7 writers.Q6: Are you inviting any guests to this project?
A6: We do not plan to invite any guests at this time.Q7: Will this project be NSFW?
A7: Although contributors must be 18+ to apply, this project will not feature explicit 18+ content. However, it may include any of the darker themes found in IDV canon, such as death/murder, violence, etc.Q8: What if my favorite character doesn't have a Once skin? Can I still apply with my own idea? What if I don't want to use my favorite character's Once design?
A8: For characters with a canon Once skin, priority will be given to prompts utilizing their canon design (such as Hangover Joseph). However, non-canon Once ideas for these characters are welcomed and will still be considered. Concepts for characters with no canon Once skin will also be accepted.Q9: Can my piece have multiple characters/what about characters that have canonically interacted in their past?
A9: Characters who have connecting backstories will be allowed in the same piece. However, we ask that contributors do their best to focus their idea on one character to ensure fairness in character assignment distribution.
